Cesium doped WO3 (Cs-WO3) photocatalyst with high and stable oxidation activity was successfully synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal method using Cs2CO3 as the metal ion source tungstic acid (H2WO4) tungsten source. A series of analytical characterization tools oxygen precipitation tests were used to compare effects different additions on crystal structure microscopic morphologies. The UV–visible diffuse reflectance spectra (DRS) Cs-doped material exhibited significant red shift in absorption edge new shoulders appearing at 440–520 nm. formation an vacancy confirmed Cs-WO3 EPR signal, which can effectively regulate electronic catalyst surface contribute improving evolution reaction (OER). photocatalytic OER results showed that Cs-WO3-0.1 optimal activity, reaching 58.28 µmol 6 h, greater than six times higher WO3-0 (9.76 μmol). It be attributed synergistic effect increase conduction band position (0.11 V) vacancies compared WO3-0, accelerate electron rate slow down rapid compounding photogenerated electrons–holes, water-catalytic WO3.

Abstract Vinasse, a dark-colored aqueous byproduct of bioethanol production, contains variety organic compounds and inorganic salt ions. In this study, vinasse was utilized as sacrificial agent in the water splitting reaction using Pt/TiO₂ photocatalyst under UV irradiation. The gaseous products generated were analyzed, revealing formation hydrogen (H₂) along with other gases, including CO₂, CH₄, CO, C₂H₆, C₂H₄, C₃H₈, C₄H₁₀. When filtered agent, H₂ produced solely through photolysis, even presence photocatalyst. Notably, production from enhanced when ions removed vinasse, lower concentration employed medium.
