Periodic macroporous materials are extensively utilized in photocatalytic hydrogen production from water splitting owing to their smooth mass transfer and abundant active sites. Therefore, it is essential develop highly stable featuring interconnected channels appropriate surface states enhance the capability. K2Ta2O6 (PM-K2Ta2O6) with a pyrochlore structure emerges as ideal candidate fulfill these requirements. Adding oxygen vacancies PM-K2Ta2O6 also makes easier for localized energy levels inside bandgap, which improves light absorption maximizes In comparison nonporous K2Ta2O6, exhibits broad band, rapid carrier rates, prolonged photogenerated lifetimes, high area, sites, thus enabling pure water. During photochemical reactions, electrons holes more readily trapped subsequently participate splitting. The H2 produced by 1285.91 μmol g-1 5 h test. Herein, we propose strategy developing periodic macropore catalysts capable of efficiently decomposing produce without necessitating cocatalysts.
