Designing innovative photocatalysts for nitrogen photofixation is becoming crucial the development of carbon‐neutral ammonia production. Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) provide a rich library materials with an easy tuning semiconductor bandgap in order to integrate them devices different functionalities. An under‐explored path their exploitation run wide range photoredox reactions mediated by solar light. Herein, heterojunction developed based on vacancy‐ordered double‐perovskite Cs 2 SnBr 6 and carbon nitride nanosheets demonstrate its ability running reaction produce under investigation done full /g‐C 3 N 4 system optimal providing outstanding evolution rate up 270 μmol g −1 h identified, which quantified means ion selective electrode. Mechanistic insight into obtained through combination advanced spectroscopy computational modeling. Efficient production stems from effective charge transfer perovskite vacancies enabled proposed absence self‐trapped excitons , also provides additional reactive sites bromide vacancies. This work paves way MHP‐based catalyst design strategy sustainable

Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials have attracted tremendous attention from researchers working in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. Owing to unique advantages offered by 2D nanomaterials, such as high surface area, abundant reaction sites, improved electrical and optical properties, excellent support materials, etc., they been widely utilized synthesizing several hybrid materials different catalytic applications. This chapter focuses, particular, on application nanomaterial-based catalysts sustainable ammonia (NH3) synthesis. In recent years, research has delved into establishing new technologies for green NH3 synthesis a replacement conventional Haber–Bosch process. this chapter, three approaches, namely, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, photoelectrocatalysis, are discussed detail. Some examples composites, doped systems, defect-engineered presented provide glimpse these processes. Finally, summary progress an outline future directions production discussed.

Graphene microflakes were deposited on a biodegradable support of coconut/agave fibers to fabricate floatable photocatalytic (FG) composites. Later, Ce0.9Bi0.1O2 (BiCeO) nanoparticles synthesized by Pechini method and these with cubic phase the FG SEM images confirmed presence porous BiCeO surface fibers. The performance FG, powder FG/BiCeO composites was evaluated degrading methylene blue (MB) dye under natural solar irradiation. MB (20 ppm) dissolved in tap water degraded efficiencies 59 %, 92 % 100 using composite, respectively. Moreover, 4-CP herbicide 86 94 utilizing In addition, scavenger experiments demonstrated that main oxidizing agent generated for degradation are superoxide anions (·O2-), followed holes (h+) (·OH) radicals. Also, we found clean obtained use composite had lowest content organic carbon (21.7 %), suggesting most by-products (formed during breakage molecule) eliminated. Overall, results this research demonstrate can be fabricated from at low cost. Those ones not only but also activated light. last characteristics could useful elimination traces dangerous contaminants treatment plants.
