Chemotherapy-related cardiotoxicity (CTRTOX) is a profound and common side effect of cancer-based therapy in subset patients. The underlying factors the associated mechanisms contributing to severe toxicity heart among these patients remain unknown. While challenges accessing human subjects their ventricular cardiomyocytes (CMs), advancements induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-technology-based CM differentiation protocols over past few decades have paved path for iPSC-based models cardiac diseases. Here, we offer detailed analysis CTRTOX. We also discuss recent advances therapeutic strategies different animal clinical trials. Furthermore, explore prospects identifying novel functional targets developing safer chemotherapy regimens cancer that may be beneficial personalized cardioprotectants application practice.
