The present study represents the effect of defect states on nonlinear absorption and optical limiting performances TlInSSe Tl2In2S3Se single crystals with near-infrared excitations. band gap energies were 2.2 2.22 eV, Urbach 0.049 0.034 eV for Tl2In2S3Se, respectively. trapping time localized was found to be 8 ns by femtosecond transient measurements. analysis open-aperture Z-scan data depends two different fitting models determine (NA) properties studied crystals. Model 1 only considers two-photon (TPA), while model 2 includes one-photon (OPA), TPA, free carrier (FCA). NA coefficients (ßeff) obtained from are higher than values (ß) at same intensities, revealing that contribute through OPA. examined under 1064 nm wavelength excitation. thresholds 1.16 0.27 mJ/cm2 29.8 GW/m2 99.5 input results show have promising potential applications.
