Injectable behavior is often observed in polymer-based hydrogels yet rarely achieved low-molecular-weight (LMWHs), the realization of which may boost development new soft materials for biomedical applications. Here, we report on injectable self-healing and antidissolving LMWHs that are formed through a simple ionic cross-linking strategy, showing fundamental application encapsulation living cells. The by simply mixing Ca2+ with negatively charged supramolecular polymers. Surprisingly, resultant capable rapidly within seconds after damage, an unexpected function. When hydrogel injected into aqueous medium, continuous macroscopic fibers can be produced. Interestingly, remain intact impressive less other LMWHs. Furthermore, demonstrated to nontoxic used as cytocompatible scaffold This work open avenue toward ever-expanding list applications biotherapy bioprinting.
