Currently, comparisons between biochar and activated carbon in terms of performance, environmental impacts as well financial implications are limited. In this study, sourced from date palm waste were analysed using gate-to-grave life cycle assessment approach results compared to derived woody biomass. Simapro 8.5 software was used quantitatively simulate the both adsorbents. Date global warming potentials (GWPs) found be 1.53 8.96 kg CO2eq/kg respectively.
