Abstract Hydrogels have been employed for water purification applications, but their performance and strength are unsatisfactory widespread adoption. Recently, hydrogel nanocomposites proposed to resolve the inherent challenges faced by hydrogels treatment. This review comprehensively analyzes treatment using adsorbent photocatalysis techniques. The structure, classification, tunable synthesis methods of explained.
