Further reducing total nitrogen (TN) and phosphorus (TP) in the secondary effluent needs to be realized effectively an eco-friendly manner. This study comprehensively evaluates water–gas–biofilm phases during a long-term study, providing in-depth understanding boosted pyrite-based systems.
