ABSTRACT Amid growing concerns over food waste, effective waste management practices in the service sector have become increasingly needed. Limited research exists on prioritizing and implementing sustainable reduction within this sector. This study develops a method to guide decision‐makers identifying impactful prevent minimize waste. Using Design Science Research, pilot application case was conducted southern Brazil. introduces Food Waste Reduction Action Guide, structured evidence‐based approach comprising two phases: audit prioritization. The quantifies assesses efficacy ease of implementation practices, visually sequences them. aligns with Target 12.3 Ssustainable Ddevelopment Goal (SDG) 12 by unveiling empirical evidence, supporting efforts scale up across preparation consumption phases through an actionable guide.

It is widely accepted that achieving operational excellence remains a top priority for manufacturing industries, and in this aspect, Sustainable Lean Six Sigma (SLSS) emerged to be promising approach balancing flexibility, productivity, customer demand. As SLSS gains traction, it becomes essential identify key Enablers (SLSSEs) prepare comprehensive framework its successful implementation. To address this, an in-depth literature review was conducted study, followed by the development of structural using hybrid methodology combines Robust Best Worst Method (RBWM) Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM), informed expert insights. The ISM process involved analyzing interrelationships between selected SLSSEs, while fuzzy-MICMAC employed determine their driving dependence powers. study findings revealed four low-intensity SLSSEs were removed framework's process, however, most critical enablers identified as management involvement, vision, government policies, research sustainable product initiatives, funding This one unique studies provides holistic view serves valuable roadmap researchers practitioners implement strategies.
