Based on panel data of 282 cities in China from 2005 to 2019, this paper constructs an economic resilience evaluation index system three dimensions and applies the entropy value method measure it. The two-stage nested Thiel index, kernel density estimation geographic detector methods are also used explore characteristics their spatial temporal divergence driving factors. We find that Chinese has increased rapidly over sample period, but with significant variation, intra-provincial variation being main source overall variation. Without considering conditions, a strong stability. In case factors have impact low resilience, not high resilience. Improving economic resilience has become a regional development goal of policymakers. This study aims to investigate the effects digital transformation on urban and its underlying mechanisms. Based sample 287 prefecture-level cities in China, We find that helps improve resilience, which is robust different estimations, e.g., 2SLS staggered DID. Additionally, further analysis indicates improving efficiency stimulating level innovation associated with are likely be main mechanisms behind this effect. Our results reveal following several policy implications. Firstly, formulating policies develop technology promote application great significance for achieving sustainable resilient growth an increasingly uncertain environment. Secondly, government should focus promoting market-oriented reform, reducing intervention, protecting intellectual property rights, creating innovative environment maximize effect technology. Thirdly, during normal periods, accelerating digitalization process will balanced among urbans.

Measuring and predicting Carbon Emission (CE) is important to enabling the main culprit of various urgent environmental issues including global warming. However, prior studies did not fully incorporate impact micro-level urban streetscapes, which might lead biased prediction CE. To fill gap, we developed an effective framework predict residential CE in areas from widely existing publicly available street-view images (SVI) using machine learning. First, used a semantic segmentation algorithm classify more than 30 streetscape elements SVI describe built environment whose features affect transportation Second, based on streetscapes quantified, trained 10-fold cross-validation method with learning models at 1KM grid level data PlanetData. We found first, such as sidewalks, roads, fences, buildings, walls are significantly correlated presence buildings subtle (e.g., walls, fences) indicates higher-density related Third, vegetation trees grass) reversely Our findings shed light feasibility single open source (i.e., SVI) effectively model neighborhood-level for regions across diverse forms. useful planners inform new town development regeneration towards low goals.

Rapid advancements in digital technologies have accelerated global change, underscoring the critical role of resilience addressing escalating energy, economic, and environmental challenges. This paper investigates effects mechanisms economy on within context these By utilizing panel data from 66 countries spanning period 2000 to 2020, this analysis employs robust models incorporates tests such as Hausman Leamer tests, exploratory factor analysis. The results reveal a notable positive impact across various time periods. However, when it comes carbon emissions, more intricate pattern emerges, suggesting negative influence environmental, economic domains. Interestingly, with below-average emissions show due economy. On other hand, effect energy is less prominent carbon-emitting nations, while significant subgroup. Above-average experience limited resilience, face challenges impacting their resilience.
