In this paper, small blocks of 17-4 PH stainless steel were manufactured via extrusion-based bound powder extrusion (BPE)/atomic diffusion additive manufacturing (ADAM) technology in two different orientations. Ultrasonic bending-fatigue and uniaxial tensile tests carried out on the test specimens prepared from AM blocks. Specifically, a recently-introduced small-size specimen design is employed to carry time-efficient fatigue tests. Based results testing, stress-life (S-N) curves created very high-cycle (VHCF) regime. The effects printing orientation life strength discussed, supported by fractography taken specimens' fracture surfaces. findings revealed that vertically-oriented had lower ductility shorter than their horizontally-oriented counterparts. resulting S-N also compared against existing data open literature. It concluded large-sized pores (which originated process) along track boundaries strongly affect elongation parts.

Chromium-containing refractories have excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance. In this work, Cr2O3 reinforced Al2O3–SiO2 composite were prepared by reaction sintering process. The microstructure, phase composition, mechanical properties and strengthening mechanism of the investigated. results show that when content is 10–20 wt%, composites are mainly composed Cr-mullite (Al3.94Cr0.50Si1.56O10.44), (Al, Cr)2O3, a small amount SiO2 phase.
