This paper investigates the impact of digital transformation on innovation within agribusiness sector, both theoretically and empirically, through an examination Chinese A-share agriculture-related listed companies spanning from 2011 to 2021. The findings suggest that significantly enhances capability agribusiness, while concurrently fostering improvements its quality. These results hold robust following endogeneity test a series robustness tests. Our heterogeneity analysis found exerts more pronounced influence promoting among state-owned agribusinesses, those located in eastern region China, facing heightened financing constraints. Abstract Using a sample from 2010 to 2021 of listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen A‐shares, we explore the effect digital economy policy (DEP) at city level on enterprise transformation (EDT). We find that DEP can promote EDT. And outcome remains valid following sequence rigorous tests assess its robustness account for endogeneity.
