The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted China's economic and social development. Understanding the direct indirect effects of epidemic on economy is vital for formulating scientifically grounded management policies. This study assesses losses influence paths a large-scale in China. We proposed three scenarios - serious, normal, mild to evaluate impact GDP from demand perspective. An input-output model was used estimate impact. Our findings show that could lose 94,206, 75,365, 56,524 hundred million yuan under scenarios, respectively, with corresponding decline rates 9.27%, 7.42%, 5.56%. Under normal scenario, loss total are projected at 75,364 489,386 yuan, respectively. Additionally, led reduction carbon emissions: emissions decreased by 1,218.69 tons, 9,594.32 10,813.01 tons across various industries. provides comprehensive analysis environmental impacts pandemic.

The frequent trade within and beyond the Belt Road Initiative (BRI) has prospered economy but also expanded carbon emissions. Here, through a multi-regional environmental input-output analysis framework, we explore patterns inter-sectoral linkage of trade-embodied emissions among BRI countries during 2015-2019. Then, dynamic data envelopment model considering inequality as non-discretionary input is constructed to assess emission efficiency identified key sector. We find that in steadily increased manufacturing sector was sector, exhibiting an overall 0.6268 on average, with significant disparities. Moreover, validate positive role enhancement mitigation, well negative moderating effect inequality. Overall, this study provides optimal collaboration initiatives mitigate deeply.

COVID-19 vaccination status has become a significant factor influencing carbon emissions in recent years. This paper explores the relationship between programs and CO2 to provide scientific support for future emergency management. The study utilizes daily data program from six sectors within European Union. It compares accuracy of various machine learning models by incorporating 11 economic control variables. Additionally, it quantitatively decomposes contribution each variable during pandemic using SHAP values. findings indicate that LightGBM model predicts much more accurately than other models. Furthermore, COVID-19-related variables, such as volumes cumulative totals, are identified factors affecting emissions.

Abstract Under the “Double Carbon” goal, incorporating principles of equity, efficiency, and responsibility into initial regional allocation carbon emission rights is key to promoting optimizing China’s trading market. This paper first defines net transfer between regions, then calculates allowance scheme based on equity as well integrating principal. Our study shows that: (1) provinces which out emissions are dominated by Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai pilot while in Shanxi, Hebei Inner Mongolia. (2) Considering only principle will reduce incentive for reduction regions with high such Beijing, Guangdong; considering efficiency exacerbate pressure Xinjiang, Mongolia other regions. (3) Compared principle, integrated not takes account multiple factors, but also reduces cost among more line “dual-carbon” strategy.
