Introduction: The consumption of bioenergy has increased in recent years, contributing to the reduction greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In particular, sugarcane waste been evaluated several studies as a potential source renewable energy. sugar industry primarily produces and ethanol, for each liter ethanol produced, between 10 15 liters vinasse are generated. This residue is highly polluting and, although it traditionally used fertigation or disposed of, holds significant biogas production. Objectives:The main objective this study was assess electricity generation from produced plants Colombia calculate CO2 emissions avoided by substituting local use with energy source.Materials Methods: Four different scenarios were based on percentage juice production. For scenario, biodigestion calculated. Additionally, estimated comparing vinasse-based conventional sources. Results: results show that ranges 249,840.36 MWh/year 437,156.37 MWh/year, depending ranged 31,475.26 55,081.70 tons CO2/year. These indicate impact reducing compared electricity. Conclusions: valorization represents step forward production clean sector. approach not only high but also contributes significantly emissions, enhancing sustainability

A by-product known as filter cake has been a major problem for sugar industries. Despite its use fertiliser, millions of tonnes have discarded waste. Thus, the concept waste valorisation is highly essential to production useful energy. Filter consists fine particulates with high moisture content; consequently, crushing not necessary pelletisation. preliminary investigation demonstrated tremendous potential pellets higher heating value 8–12 MJ/kg, depending on their content. However, pelletisation must be properly optimised. In present study, initial contents were varied between 10, 20, and 30%. The physical properties these levels then determined compared EN 14961-1. Moreover, relationship particle bulk densities was utilised optimisation. results indicated that an content 10 20% suitable pelletisation, excellent conformance 14961-1 standard. diameter, length, density, fines, durability values 5.90–5.98 mm, 28.11–29.18 832.6–852.6 kg/m3, 1517.3–1626.1 0.22–0.30%, 97.8–98.1%, respectively. addition, prototype system feasibility zero-waste campaign. Furthermore, economic analysis if 2.04 million per year fuels in steam power plants, they could generate 2.63x109 kWh electricity year, resulting approximately 318 US dollars.

Energy from biogas is one of the most promising renewable energy sources. Significant, for technical, economic, and environmental reasons, construction agricultural microgas plants next to households specialising in cattle rearing. The availability free substrate makes it possible not only produce one's electricity heat but also a more environmentally human-friendly manure. operation is, unfortunately, associated with technical problems. This paper presents results study quality generated an plant built at farm dairy cows, where owner reported problem voltage power supply network. Therefore, selected parameters occurring connection point were analysed detail. As authors' research showed, case question, was connected via cable too small conductor cross-section, which resulted significant exceedances, making impossible switch on second plant's generators. Replacement feed-in has enabled both generators run, fluctuations values still noticeable. Analysis subsequent measurements revealed need changes design digester itself. proposal change replace two current mixers (each rated 9 kW) lower power. new would operate alternating system, always be activated.

Constructing agricultural microbial gasification plants near livestock farms is essential for technical, economic, and environmental reasons. Utilising substrates from these allows producing electricity, heat, environmentally friendly manure. However, biogas often face technical challenges. This study evaluates the power quality of an plant on a dairy farm. It was found that connected via cable with insufficient conductor cross-section, leading to significant voltage overshoots exceeding 14.6%, which prevented activation second generator. Both generators could operate after replacing feed-in cable, but considerable fluctuations in persisted. Further measurements indicated need changes digester design. Specifically, current two mixers more lower-powered operating alternately proposed. Sharing solutions broadly can help prevent similar issues future gas constructions optimise electricity production.
