Stretch denim is an exclusive and stylish textile made with elastic core-spun yarns. It has gained substantial traction for offering essential elasticity resilience to the garments while retaining a snug fit comfort when worn. Denim produced from coarser cotton yarns necessitating significant quantity of fiber. Owing escalating costs harmful environmental impacts associated its cultivation, it imperative explore alternative fibers denim. Herein, very first time, expedient technique manufacturing utilizing recycled investigated. Recycled fibers, in range 10–60 %, extracted pre-consumer fabric waste were blended virgin spun into 16 Ne (36.9 Tex) To address challenges posed by lower spinnability attributed fiber length, uniformity index, higher short content, compact spinning system featuring novel pin spacer was used. This combination effectively improved control within drafting zone, enabling maximum incorporation cotton, up 60 yarn. The concept of sustainable and eco-friendly production textiles has gained significant traction in recent years. Utilizing raw materials, processes, recycling methods are fundamental strategies the development cleaner more eco-conscious textile manufacturing. current work reports a approach to manufacturing melange yarn from recycled fibers shredded pre-consumer cotton/viscose mélange fabric waste. obtained by shredding method short lumpy, necessitating blending with virgin which serve as carriers throughout spinning process. In traditional ring system, poor inter-fiber cohesion, especially shorter fibers, inhibits achieving optimum quality. With view their better control during spinning, advanced systems such Siro, compact compact-Siro were adopted. Experimental results revealed that all these led superior qualities. Among them, produced demonstrated most improvements structure (reduced hairiness, unevenness & imperfections) properties (increased strength elongation). Through adept engineering precise process control, 30-Ne (19.68 Tex) yarns containing up 60% fiber successfully produced. These proved be suitable for knit fabrics aesthetics similar commercial fabrics. innovation producing yarn, incorporating introduces revolutionary aimed at supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12. The worldwide manufacturing industries are actively adopting greener and eco-friendly production approaches, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly focusing on Goal 12. This objective strives for responsible material management, a strong emphasis significantly decreasing waste generation through preventive measures, recycling, reusing resources. research introduces sustainable method Siro grindle yarn, which involves maximizing utilization of recycled cotton fibers sourced from pre-consumer fabric waste. process involved preparation two rovings, one colored (red) other white, incorporating varying percentages along virgin cotton. To achieve vibrant effect in compact-Siro spinning technique was employed that separately compacting drafted fiber strands before uniting them twisting. Grindle yarns count Ne 20 (29.52 tex) containing up to 50% were successfully manufactured. As point comparison, yarn also manufactured conventional-Siro ring frame. produced using exhibited notable enhancements both structure (reduced hairiness, unevenness, imperfections) properties (increased strength elongation). These demonstrated suitability producing knit fabrics esthetics comparable commercial made entirely fibers.
