Sustainable Development Goal number four (SDG-4) strongly emphasizes quality education, which is crucial to human capital development. The importance of development for sustainable economic has thus risen the top global policy agenda. However, empirical literature on topic several limitations, including utilizing inappropriate measurement and being unable investigate dimensions education. Therefore, this study used years schooling return education fill gap, also considered role institutional political factors in its estimation. main objective effect sustainability 30 Sub-Saharan African countries, employing panel data from 2000 2020. augmented mean group model was investigation. findings showed that negatively significantly affects countries. Thus, among alternatives countries policymakers should pursue attain goals revisiting entire architecture putting more an emphasis than access

Research background: In order to tackle climate change and ensure Paris agreements are met, countries forced look for alternative ways of producing, consuming, wasting adopt a circular economy. Reduction greenhouse gas emissions becomes one the key elements. The demand electricity is increasing, most derive from energy sector. Because that, it crucial transition fossil fuels renewable energy. Renewable energy, as part economy, also contributes sustainable development. Only efficient implementation economy practices can that development goals achieved. Purpose article: study aims at determining efficiency European Union implementing through attain SDGs. focuses on significance tool achieve highlights progress achieved in SDG EU. Methods: For assessment represented by indicators, data envelopment analysis (DEA) was performed. Findings & value added: This presents relation importance achieving SDGs helps understand how transforms into necessary actions needed improve. Based results, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, Latvia, Estonia, Malta, Netherlands Bulgaria considered countries, while Austria least efficient. Unused solar wind power potential slow down development; however, EU programs strategies help move towards clean goals.

ABSTRACTDue to increasing geopolitical tensions and disruption of gas supplies, European countries have been looking for alternatives electricity generation (EG). As part this process, one the most important goals long-term sustainability is ensure carbon neutrality. Therefore, study analyzes time, frequency, quantile-based impacts EG from different sources (i.e., renewable, nuclear, fossil fuels) on neutrality, focusing four leading countries. The applies wavelet transform coherence (WC), quantile-on-quantile regression (QQ), Granger causality in quantiles (GQ) high-frequency daily data between January 2, 2019 March 10, 2023. Results show that (i) there a strong time frequency dependence CO2 emissions across countries, while results vary by countries; (ii) renewable dampens emissions. At higher quantiles, share lowers Germany Spain, they increase France; (iii) nuclear beneficial only United Kingdom. (iv) Fossil increases all Excessive leads more at quantiles; (v) time-, frequency-, quantile-, country-, source-dependent structure. outcomes demonstrates ideal source mainly EG, case Kingdom, could be an alternative improving environment reducing fuels.KEYWORDS: ElectricityCO2 emissionsEuropean Union countriesDisaggregated Analysisnonlinear methodsJEL CLASSIFICATION: C32N50O13 Highlights examines (EG) neutrality. The focuses countries. The nonlinear approaches using data. The generally partially nuclear.EG has quantile, country-varying impact. The are consistent robust based method.Acronyms BDS=Broock, Scheinkman, Dechert, LeBaronBRICS=Brazil, Russia, India, China, South AfricaCO2=Carbon DioxideEG=Electricity GenerationEU=European UnionGQ=Granger Causality-in-QuantilesGWh=Gigawatt-HourIEA=International Energy AgencyJB=Jarque BeraOECD=Organization Economic Co-operation DevelopmentQQ=Quantile-on-Quantile RegressionQR=Quantile RegressionSDGs=Sustainable Development GoalsTWh=terawatt-hoursUN=United NationsUSD=United States DollarsWC=Wavelet CoherenceDependent Variable=CO2=Total EmissionsIndependent Variables=REG=Renewable EGNEG=Nuclear EGFEG=Fossil EGAnalysis Scope=DEU=GermanyESP=SpainFRA=FranceGBR=United KingdomDisclosure statementNo potential conflict interest was reported authors.Authors' contributionsThe authors contributed equally work. The pressing need to address the effects of rising greenhouse gas emissions on environment has become a global concern. Policymakers, governments, and stakeholders advocate sustainable clean environment. Therefore, green technology eco-entrepreneurship initiatives are being implemented reduce these emissions. Despite their efforts in environments, there is insufficient research how impact economies. This study explores reducing East Asia. Using China Japan, ranked first fifth highest emitters globally, as case studies, employed ARDL NARDL models for empirical analysis. findings show that short-run linear estimates significant only China, while nonlinear both Japan. Comparably, coefficient estimate was negative countries. In model, positive shock These vital improving Asian

Due to the complementarity of renewable energy sources, there has been a focus on technology hybridization in recent years. In area hybrid offshore power plants, current research projects mostly combinational implementation wind, solar, and wave technologies. Accordingly, considering already existing wind farms, is potential for plants by adding converters floating photovoltaics. this work, stochastic sizing model developed farms using photovoltaics export cable capacity limitation. The problem modeled from an investor perspective maximize economic profits hybridization, while costs revenues regarding units are excluded. Furthermore, tackle uncertainties generation, as well price, scenario generation method based copula theory proposed consider dependency structure between different random variables. Altogether, study mixed integer linear programming optimization framework net present value project objective function. results showed that hybrid-sources-based provided highest profit studied cases geographical locations. technical specifications have also considerably improved providing more stable guaranteeing minimum level high share time, better utilization curtailment maintained within acceptable range.
