Soybean is a major vegetable protein crop often considered to be sustainable alternative animal products. Assessments of soybean sustainability resort Life Cycle (LCAs), which are difficult compare due methodological inconsistencies. This study carried out an innovative method for harmonized comparisons production between farms assessed in different studies. Rather than collecting LCA results, we collected Inventories (LCIs) and then calculated the global warming potential (GWP) land use impacts each farm. For this, systematic review following PRISMA methodology collect LCI data from 19 studies representing 126 six countries. A comparable analysis showed higher variability GWP (0.27–1.53 kg CO2e/kg soybean) previous reviews, but within range similar results original As same were used all cases, this can explained by differences systems locations, with minimum contribution variability. Farms Iran United States exhibited highest emissions, primarily driven synthetic fertilizer use, irrigation, energy use. Using studies, substantially lower GWP. Brazil non-biogenic greenhouse gas emissions soil biotic capacity loss occupation, while Italian demonstrated minimal impacts. These findings underscore need region-specific mitigation strategies, despite being limited gaps on residue management, representativity sample farms, lack detail irrigation data. There pressing more complete reporting results.

Amidst the prevailing trends in environmental conservation and imperatives of energy emission reduction, precision assessing forecasting carbon emissions has acquired heightened significance. As aquaculture production grows, so does the demand for quality and cost-effective protein sources. The cost of fishmeal (FM) has increased over years, leading to costs formulated aquafeed. Soybean meal (SBM) is commonly used as an FM replacer in aquafeed, but anti-nutritional factors could affect growth, nutrition, health aquatic organisms. Cricket (CM) alternative source with a nutrient profile comparable due its high content, digestibility, amino acid profile. CM use aquafeed influences growth reproductive performance while modulating gut microbiota immune response fish shrimp. However, consistent regulation scaling up are necessary competitive prices marketing CM. Moreover, chitin content be issue some species; however, different strategies based on food biotechnology can improve safe
