Strengthening agriculture is crucial for ensuring food security the world’s expanding population. Endophytes, microorganisms that live within plant tissues without harming host, can colonize these tissues. They promote growth, serve as biocontrol agents, and naturally shield host from a variety of biotic abiotic challenges. Each year, emergence numerous stresses in crops leads to decrease yield, resulting significant losses. To mitigate losses manage pests diseases, various effective strategies should be employed. being environmentally friendly, non-toxic, cost-effective, could an alternative farmers aiming sustainable agriculture. This chapter will discuss biochemical, molecular, genetic mechanisms endophytes enhancing stress tolerance different their role biological control agents. Furthermore, metabolites explored potential beneficial agents extending investigation up multi-omics level.
