Balancing burgeoning energy demands in the electricity sector while curbing carbon emissions poses a formidable challenge for emerging economies like Bangladesh, which is heavily reliant on fossil fuels. Despite country's power system master plan (PSMP) until 2041 and submitted intended nationally determined contributions (INDC) to tackle mounting needs associated emissions, PSMP lacks specific emission reduction strategies. Thus, this study employs pinch analysis facilitate Bangladesh's long-term planning, highlighting hurdles. This research aims set limits, delineate fuel carbon-neutral source (i.e., zero during operation) compositions, ascertain ranges targeted propose viable sources meet escalating demands. Three scenarios are extensively explored: fulfilling INDC mandates, 10% increase renewable energy, maintaining 2035 levels 2040. The unveils limits of 55 758.83 84 778.61 × 109 grams CO2 equivalent 2025 2030, respectively. Projections indicate foreseen surge by 2035, elevating its share 18.16%. Carbon-neutral sources, encompassing solar, wind, hydroelectricity, biomass, nuclear, estimated cover 56.06% demand 2040, driving 33.30% reduction.

Abstract The development of agricultural photovoltaic (PV) ecosystems aims to mitigate land competition between solar PV panels and crops. When used in greenhouses, semi‐transparent colored thin‐film technology allows for the conversion energy while meeting photosynthetic needs crops, offering significant potential usage agriculture. Recent developments cells (ST‐SCs), including organic cells, dye‐sensitized perovskite copper indium gallium selenide cadmium telluride are reviewed this article with an emphasis on enhancing ST‐SCs performance. Various structures, fabrication methods, current research progress discussed, followed by exploration applications ecosystems. Finally, a comparison advantages disadvantages several types is presented, recommendations most suitable applications. Future prospects greenhouses also investigated.

This study aims to investigate the potential of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems for commercial buildings. Helio-Scope software is utilized perform simulations determine ideal area panels. The efficiency impacted by shading effects modules installed in parallel rows. To enhance energy output, optimal distance between rows determined, and it found that 5-feet inter-row spacing provides best results. simulation results indicate with spacing, system has an generation 371.6 MWh, specific yield 1508.0 kWh/kWp, performance ratio 82.1%, access rate 98.9%, total resource fraction 96.3% a irradiance 1655.9 kWh/m 2 . annual nameplate 425.1 output at levels 423.1 DC 378.5 inverter 373.5 delivered national power grid MWh. average daily input 158881.5110 W AC 152231.6311 W, showing approximately 95.93%. Purpose Previous studies emphasized the substantial energy-saving potential of light emitting diode (LED) lighting systems, especially in clothing industry. However, specific quantification energy conservation industrial factories, particularly Bangladesh’s readymade garment (RMG) sector, remains unexplored. The purpose this study is to investigate savings and efficiency improvements systems RMG sector using LED technology. Design/methodology/approach Understanding optimizing consumption crucial because contributes significantly country’s export earnings. For this, an factory was surveyed possible system retrofitting estimated compared. Findings adoption energy-efficient options, LED, could decrease current usage from 15% 7.5% Bangladesh. First, reveals, that reduction annual determined be 18,220 kWh due with tube. Second, it conducts real-time measurements assess suitability in-building providing insights into scenario. Lastly, evaluates economic environmental benefits proposed industries. Due system, equivalent CO 2 gas emissions found 119.896 tCO . Originality/value first time, explored for enhancing design through industry, a focus on By addressing these aspects, aims contribute advancement efforts ultimately fostering sustainable development Bangladesh beyond.
