Sodium alginate is a polysaccharide compound extracted from natural plants that has been successfully prepared as hydrogel for adsorbing and removing pollutants. However, the selectivity of alginate-based hydrogels to malachite green (MG) dyes stability in air cannot meet requirements. Herein, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are embedded into magnetic create MOF (MMOF hydrogel) microspheres with high adsorption capacity. The morphology physical properties MMOF were characterized by scanning electron microscopy optical microscopy. Under optimized conditions, rate MG reached 96.5%. maximum capacity was determined be 315 mg·g−1. This highly efficient adsorbent dye removal considerable potential rapidly toxic contaminants aquatic food matrices high-throughput sampling pretreatment, which rapid, green, large-scale environmental remediation future.

Herein, a unique "rattan-like" three-dimensional porous fiber membrane is fabricated by integrating carbon nanotubes (CNTs) into amyloid bovine serum albumin fibers (ABFs). Specifically, the CNTs are embedded as an inner interpenetrating framework to organize thoroughly connected macro-mesoporous architecture. The distinctive reticular microstructure instrumental in minimizing hydraulic resistance, maximizing availability of adsorption sites, and enhancing dye mass transfer. Comprehensive physical characterizations have been conducted, revealing highly structures (55.3 m2/g) multimodal pore size distribution with average diameter 41.8 nm, both beneficial for adsorption. As expected, ABF/CNT exhibits extraordinary capacity 682.9 mg/g Congo red, rapid kinetics (90% its equilibrium within 150 min), good reusability that dropped 24.7% efficiency even after 15 cycles. Furthermore, introduction staggered macropores has significantly enhanced transfer factor ([kLa]d), which turn improved global ([kLa]g). simple fabrication efficient performance make it capable alleviating CR contamination problems biological adsorbent.
