This data article provides a comprehensive description of climate change mitigation and adaptation policies implemented by 21 Italian regions (NUTS2 level) as January 2024. It was developed part wider research work published the authors [2]. The dataset collects information on efforts are making to tackle crisis. In particular, it contains collection regional plans (RCPs) catalogue their contents analysed with regard objectives, planned actions monitoring evaluation indicators. To complete framework, also an overview socio-economic for regions, derived from EUROSTAT (as 2023), indicators CIRO (Climate Indicators Regions) database, updated 2021. Regional sustainable development strategies were examined consistency planning emergency declarations. Moreover, specific presented regions' participation in transnational networks initiatives, well references legislation currently force (January 2024).
