Nanotechnology platforms, such as nanoparticles, liposomes, dendrimers, and micelles have been studied extensively for various drug deliveries, to treat or prevent diseases by modulating physiological pathological processes. The delivery molecules range from traditional small recently developed biologics, proteins, peptides, nucleic acids. Among them, proteins shown a series of advantages potential in therapeutic applications, introducing due genetic defects, used nanocarriers anticancer agents decelerate tumor growth control metastasis. This review discusses the existing nanoparticle systems, design strategies, using each system, possible limitations. Moreover, we will examine intracellular different protein therapeutics, antibodies, antigens, gene editing into host cells achieve effects cancer vaccines. Finally, explore current applications treatments.

Due to the complexity and heterogeneity in tumor microenvironment, efficacy of breast cancer treatment has been significantly impeded. Here, we established a living system using an engineered M13 bacteriophage through chemical cross-linking biomineralization remodel microenvironment. Chemically gel (M13 Gel) could situ synthesize photothermal palladium nanoparticles (PdNPs) on pVIII capsid protein obtain M13@Pd Gel. In addition, NLG919 was further loaded into form (M13@Pd/NLG gel) for down-regulating expression tryptophan metabolic enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1). Both vitro vivo studies showed that served not only as cargo-loaded device but also self-immune adjuvant, which induced immunogenic death cells effectively down-regulated IDO1 expression. Such bioactive constructed by natural materials reverse immunosuppression improve anti-breast response.

To integrate targeted diagnosis and treatment of cancer, we proposed to develop a gadolinium (Gd) agent based on the properties apoferritin (AFt). this end, not only optimized series Gd(III) 8-hydroxyquinoline-2-carboxaldehyde-thiosemicarbazone compounds obtain compound (C4) with remarkable T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) performance cytotoxicity cancer cells in vitro but also constructed an AFt–C4 nanoparticle (NP) delivery system. Importantly, NPs improved targeting ability C4 vivo showed enhanced MRI tumor growth inhibition ratio relative alone. Furthermore, confirmed that inhibited through apoptosis, ferroptosis, ferroptosis-induced immune response.
