Abstract Background Endogenous substances of krill oil (KO) are lipophilic in nature and have clinical significance viz. DHA/EPA, phospholipids astaxanthin. To improve the nanodispersibility endogenous KO, a self-nanoemulsifying system (SNE) was developed. Results Ternary phase behaviour KO explored ethanol (ET); propylene glycol, (PG); PEG600 using Tween80 Tween20 as surfactants. induced self-nanoemulsification yielded one region (OPR); dilution lines (KO/Smix fraction containing PEG600) traversed across OPR, produced fully dilutable nanoemulsion system. PEG600-based nanoformulations (NFs) underwent transformation via percolation nanostructure domains (86–207 nm). ternary revealed from rheological data (higher eta values), refractive index (nonlinear) conductivity (bimodal) patterns. Induced could be an interaction between aqueous KO/Tween20 environment; generating highly viscous low electrical conductivity. NFs offered antioxidant activity over corresponding coarse systems ( p < 0.01) measured DPPH method. Optimized (F4 F6) inhibited growth skin cancer cell line (A431) range 100–500 × dilutions. Conclusion Phase by PEG600, transforming pattern generation region; however, glycol co-solvents did not. possessed well cytotoxic to (A431).
