Abstract The need for antifouling membranes is substantial due to fouling’s negative impact on the effectiveness and durability of ultrafiltration membranes. In recent times, Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as effective additives crafting (UF) However, harness their benefits mitigate drawbacks, a well-considered approach imperative. this work, polyethersulfone (PES) UF were tailored with polydopamine (PDA)-modified cerium (Ce)-MOF (PDA@Ce-MOF) achieve satisfactory properties remove biological macromolecules such bovine serum albumin (BSA) humic acid (HA) from wastewater. non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS) method was used simultaneously fabricate membrane modify it different PDA@Ce-MOF concentrations ranging 0.05 0.50 wt.%. Results showed significant improvements membrane’s morphology, hydrophilicity, porosity pore size at 0.10 wt.% loading PDA@Ce-MOF. synergistic effect PDA Ce-MOF improved pure water flux (337 L m −2 h −1 ) filtration performance in Bovine reporting 145 98% rejection, 164 88% rejection; respectively. Further, water-attracting functional moieties hindered deposition BSA protein surface, resulting an excellent recovery ratio (FRR) ~87%, alongside mitigated irreversible fouling.

Safranine T dye causes health problems such as skin and respiratory irritations. Hence, the safranine was efficiently removed from aqueous media employing a simply synthesized manganese ferrite (MnFe2O4) nanoadsorbent. The synthesis of nanoparticles carried out by pechini sol–gel approach using tartaric acid to serve chelating agent in addition 1,2-propanediol crosslinker. TEM analysis showed that shape MnFe2O4 is semi-spherical, with an average particle size 19.32 nm coincides well measured XRD (18.89 nm). Further, several factors influenced removal process were examined, time, concentration, pH, temperature. ideal experimental conditions achieved highest percentage are pH 8, 80 min, 298 K. maximum adsorption capacity towards equals 334.45 mg/g. chemical, exothermic, defined through Langmuir equilibrium sorption isotherm pseudo-second-order model. have ability be reused many times without losing their efficiency.
