The Y2O3 decorated with ZnFe2O4 was successfully synthesized using Citrus limon (L.) Osbeck leaf extract for the first time. A modification of nanoparticles carried out because is stable but has a wide band gap, making it less active in visible light. On other hand, small gap and cheap. ZnFe2O4/Y2O3 nanocomposites, ZnFe2O4, were characterized FTIR, XRD, TEM, SEM, DRS UV–Vis. TEM UV–Vis results show that nanocomposite particle size 49,61 nm unique shape an optical 2.08 eV. photocatalytic activity Y2O3, observed based on photodegradation malachite green (MG) dye under demonstrate can degrade MG percentage 95 % within 120 min, which better than pure Y2O3. After fourth cycle, by remained at 88 %, demonstrating good reusability degradation. These findings use as modifier may increase performance
