This study investigated the effects of nano zero-valent iron-modified biochar (nZVI@BC) as a soil amendment on potted rice growth, properties, and heavy metal dynamics. Seven treatments with varying amounts conditioner, biochar, nZVI@BC were applied to rice. Results showed that application significantly improved agronomic traits, 15 g·kg−1 treatment increasing panicle formation rate by 15% 100-grain weight 8% compared control. Soil fertility was enhanced, available phosphorus from 137 281 mg·kg−1 in most effective treatment. Heavy analysis revealed did not increase content, Cd levels remaining below 0.3 across treatments. Notably, 10 potential for slight immobilization, reducing its concentration 0.32 0.26 mg·kg−1. Microbial community altered microbial diversity composition, resulting highest fungal (Chao1 index: 294.219). The relative abundance beneficial class Agaricomycetes increased 40% 55% optimal application. These findings suggest has an improving cultivation while maintaining health, diversity, potentially mitigating contamination.

Boron (B) is critical for plant growth, yet its movement in soil often hindered by leaching and adsorption, leading to deficiencies. Tackling these issues essential boosting agricultural productivity, especially plants like Eucalyptus with high B needs. This paper aims address challenges evaluating B-doped biochar composites (biochar-B) that enhance distribution stability the soil, focusing on grandis cultivation two distinct oxisol types. Biochar-B were created using shrimp carcass (FSC), chicken manure (FCM) sewage sludge (FSS), combined boric acid (BA) borax (BX), pyrolyzed at 300 °C 550 °C. The experimental design was a completely randomized (CRD) three replicates. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis confirmed successful integration interaction organic matrices, highlighting functional groups responsible composite properties. facilitated development of highly predictive partial least squares (PLS) regression models (R2pred ~ 0.8). FSC-BA showed notable thermal stability, retention availability, enhancing release kinetics. These findings emphasize importance considering soluble rate applications cultivation. use provides sustainable method gradual release, potentially outperforming conventional fertilization techniques. approach may lead improved growth productivity. Further field investigations are recommended order validate refine strategies; thus, benefiting range crops.
