Currently, public health is seriously threatened by the massive concentrations of emerging contaminants. Treating contaminants in water using effective methods has become a major challenge worldwide. Photocatalytic technology, as an eco-friendly been recognized means removing from water. Among various photocatalysts, layered double hydroxides (LDHs), known hydrotalcite-like materials, have explored extensively photocatalytic reactions due to their switchable properties and large surface areas unique two-dimensional structures. In this article, recent advances degradation LDH-based photocatalysts are reviewed. Firstly, fundamental principles materials briefly introduced. Various LDHs applied broadly summarized into four types: pure-phase LDHs, interlayer-modified composites, oxides (LDOs). Moreover, synthesis process catalytic mechanism also An outlook on problems future development remediation provided at end.

With the rapid development of modern industry, traditional lubricants often require a variety additives to be used in conjunction with each other, which not only increases cost but also causes waste resources. Therefore, lubricant additive both dyeing function and an antiwear friction reduction performance can more effectively meet industrial needs. Cerium sulfide (Ce2S3), its excellent photostability, weather resistance, thermal stability, nontoxicity, shows great potential as environmentally friendly pigment. However, methods for synthesizing Ce2S3 are typically hindered by high-temperature requirements toxicity issues, limits broad application lubricants. To overcome these limitations, this study employed liquid-phase method under mild conditions synthesize oleylamine-modified, wrinkle-free nanosheets (OA-Ce2S3 NSs). The friction-reducing properties OA-Ce2S3 NSs poly alpha-olefin-6 base oils were evaluated various four-ball tribometer. Experimental results indicate that significantly enhance forming physical adsorption film ultra thick tribochemical reaction (with typical thickness 350 nm maximum up 700 nm) on surface. Furthermore, elucidates lubrication mechanism proposes their sliding surfaces. This research highlights provides future directions optimizing synthesis multifunctional applications, offering new insights into field science.
