The potential of photocatalytic CO2 conversion is significant for the production fuels and chemicals, while simultaneously mitigating emissions addressing environmental concerns. Despite current drawbacks single metal-based photocatalysts, such as lower performance, uncontrollable selectivity, instability, this study focuses on synthesis Ag3VO4 nanorods using sol–gel method. goal to create a highly effective catalyst visible light-responsive conversion. successful with nanorod structure, functional under light, resulted in highest yields CH4 dimethyl ether (DME) at 271 69 µmole/g-cat, respectively. optimized demonstrated performance improvements, DME 6.4 times 4.5 higher than when V2O5 samples. This suggests that facilitate electron transfer CO2, offer short pathways transfer, empty spaces within reservoirs, enhancing photoactivity. prolonged stability system confirms structure provides controllable selectivity stability. Therefore, fabrication structures holds promise advancing high-performance photocatalysts field solar fuels.
