Industrial byproduct gypsum (BPG) is a secondary product that mainly composed of calcium sulfate discharged during industrial production. BPG primarily consists desulfurized gypsum, phosphogypsum, and titanium which account for 88% the total in China. The large-scale utilization these three types solid waste crucial safe disposal BPG. contains various impurities harmful elements, limiting its applications. continuous accumulation poses serious threat to safety environment. Based on literature review (2021-2023), it was found 52% used preparation cementitious materials, addition results an average improvement 7-30% mechanical properties materials. Moreover, has positive impact immobilization hazardous elements raw Therefore, materials beneficial disposal. This study reviews effects mechanisms solidification elements. Most importantly, reveals positively influences hydration activity silica-alumina-based (such as steel slag blast furnace slag) alkaline carbide red mud). improves proportion cement reduces production costs carbon emissions. Finally, this article summarizes proposes application + silica-alumina solid-waste-based expected realize new type green ecological chain joint multiple wastes promote low-carbon sustainable development clusters.
