Abstract A simple, efficient green synthesis approach was employed to produce and potential iron‐zero valent photocatalysts (Fe0 NPs), derived from two plant extracts: Rosmarinus officinalis (ROS‐Fe0 NPs) Guava leaves (GUA‐Fe0 NPs). These nanocatalysts were tested for the photo‐degradation of dibenzothiophene (DBT), their antimicrobial properties also assessed. The biosynthesized Fe0 NPs characterized via different techniques. XRD revealed diffraction peaks lattice planes (110), (200), corresponding body‐centered cubic (bcc) structure metallic Fe0. lower PL intensity ROS‐Fe⁰ compared GUA‐Fe⁰ suggests reduced electron‐hole recombination, leading improved photocatalytic activity. achieving 89.9% DBT degradation 80% NPs. This is due ROS‐derived phytochemicals, such as polyphenols flavonoids, which act capping agents, improving nanoparticle dispersion, reducing size. After five cycles, converted into hematite magnetite phases enhances up 95.6% spent oxidized ROS‐Fe0 90.3% GUA‐Fe0 Both extracts iron nanoparticles demonstrated strong activity against bacteria fungi. So, phytochemicals GUA‐ ROS‐ highlight influence on both antibacterial performance.
