Developing a clean and efficient noble metal free electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is urgently needed to accelerate water splitting green energy conversion systems. Herein, we reported the fabrication of metal-free based on Zn Co loaded porous C decorated cellulose acetate-polyaniline (ZnCo-C/CA-PANI) electrospun nanofibers at surface nickel foam (NF). The smooth coating CA-PANI NF helps in exposing maximum fraction ZnCo-C uniform flow ions entire surface, thus resulting high OH– adsorption capability. designed ZnCo-C/CA-PANI@NF electrode acts as an alkaline medium offers lower onset potential (1.34 V vs RHE), small Tafel slope 42 mV/dec, stability. These results suggest concept exploring more such hybrid materials that could induce electrocatalytic sustainable conversion.

Abstract Oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is the core of fuel cell/metal–air battery at cathode, and it great significance to develop high‐performance ORR catalyst. Generally speaking, catalysts are classified according class materials they use, which often makes difficult for different types have a clear connection with some unified optimization mechanism creates difficulties in designing improvement strategies. Here, this review proposes three major strategies that can affect activity catalysts: morphology, defect control, heteroatom doping. The content analyze principles various performance individually or synergistically micro level. In addition, problems challenges still faced design sorted out, possible solutions proposed. This research direction clearer, provides theoretical support new ideas high‐efficiency electrocatalysts.

Polyoxometalate (POM) based binary and ternary hybrids, including the combination of POMs, semiconductors, nanostructured carbon (carbon nanotube (CNT), graphene, dots et al.) metal nanoparticles (MNPs), are key materials in photoelectrocatalysis. POM play a role constructing nanohybrids contributing to their photoelectrochemical catalytic properties. These composites combine properties from two or three functional nanoscale materials, resulting wider range applications, catalysis, energy conversion storage, molecular sensors electronics. Herein, we summarize latest progress (POM/Metal, POM/semiconductor POM/nanocarbon) (Metal/POM/nanocarbon) with focus on for photocatalysis, fuel cells, biosensors devices. Current applications critically assessed promising future target systems discussed.
