Hydrogen plays a pivotal role in transitioning to CO2-free energy systems, yet challenges regarding costs and sourcing persist supplying Europe with renewable hydrogen. Our paper proposes simulation-based approach determine cost-optimal combinations of electrolyser power peak for off-grid hydrogen production, considering location source dependencies. Key findings include easy estimation Levelized Costs (LCOH) optimal plant sizing based on the regional yield source. Regional investment risks influence LCOH by 7.9 % per 1 change Weighted Average Cost Capital. In Central (Austria), production range from 7.4 €/kg 8.6 €/kg, whereas regions like Chile exhibit cheaper at 5.1 6.8 €/kg. Despite favourable yields or UAE, domestically produced can be cost-competitive when location-specific transport are taken into account. This underlines critical domestic cost-effective Europe's future supply.
