The pressure characteristics of long-distance water pipelines during hydraulic transient processes are crucial for ensuring the safe, stable, and long-term operation transfer projects. This paper establishes a one-dimensional mathematical model based on sections Yinjiangjihuai diversion project in China. supply requirements categorized into two replenishment modes as follows: gravity pump-pressurized supply. opening closing strategies under different flow conditions simulated analyzed to explore various modes. variations key parameters valve closure clarified. Simulation results indicate that pipeline design is reasonable, meeting demands at relatively low Manning values it has capability Due excessive head provided by pumps, cannot operate simultaneously. Under mode, minimum downstream higher overall, while maximum upstream lower overall. In safety stability can be ensured adjusting time individual pumps interval between adjacent pumps. research findings provide technical guidance scientific basis construction national networks

The South-to-North Water Diversion Project’s Eastern Route (SNWDPC-ER) has drawn a lot of attention as one China’s most significant water diversion projects. This study calculated the quality index (WQI) to analyze spatial and temporal characteristics in area well effects diversion, developed minimum (WQImin) model based on stepwise multiple linear regression, using data from 56 monitoring stations along delivery canal SNWDPC-ER (the SNWDPC-delivery ER’s canal) 2014 2018. Here are findings: (1) state was rated “good” annual average value WQI climbed year over with improvements quality. (2) There clear difference across time space, autumn having better than other seasons south north. (3) is impacted by diversion; throughout era steadier. (4) weighted WQImin model, which quick inexpensive way assess quality, can be used evaluate canal. model’s parameters DO, NH3-N, BOD5, TN.
