Increasing urban land use eco-efficiency (ULUEE) is conducive to alleviating the human-land conflict in cities, especially densely populated and ecologically sensitive areas. ULUEE research past has been less focused on different river basins from a comparative perspective, largely ignored regional heterogeneity driving factors. Thus, this study aims compare spatiotemporal dynamics factors of Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) Yellow Basin (YRB) China. The was first evaluated using Slack Based Model-Undesirable, then Theil Index spatial Markov Chain were used reveal differential changes shifting direction ULUEE, followed by an analysis segments sized cities Tobit model. Results show that: (1) both YREB YRB, shows characteristic "lower reaches > middle upper reaches", however, notable differences index values are evident among basin segments. (2) exhibits spillovers convergence phenomena during its variations. (3) There significant U-shaped relationship between GDP whole YREB, but only lower YRB. Additionally, form environmental regulations have heterogeneous impacts different-sized cities. In order maintain sustainability resource management coordinate city development varying sizes, governments must take systematic approach that accounts for complexity characteristics drivers ULUEE.

The main aim of this study is the identification most appropriate measures and policies to combat particulate air pollution in city Thessaloniki, Greece through a methodology including calculation emissions by sector application an quality modeling system. current situation showed that exceedances mean PM10 daily levels occur during cold winter months with residential heating being major contributor representing 73% share total emissions. Moreover, effect biomass consumption for purposes on concentrations has been verified quantified implementing regression model identifying reduction 45% would result elimination values. Based above, set cost-effective were defined their impact was estimated. Finally, system applied mitigation scenarios selected, leading significant 67% number observed ensuring compliance limit 35 value per year pursuant European Legislation.

The rapid and disorderly expansion of urban construction land has exacerbated the contradiction between use low-carbon development. In this paper, we spatial autocorrelation model coupling to analyze characteristics coupled coordination degree transfer carbon emissions in 291 cities China. multi-scale geographically weighted regression (MGWR) is used explore heterogeneity influence socioeconomic factors on their degree. results show that: from 2005 2015, scale been increasing quantitatively spatially showing a shift southeast coast central western regions. 2005, 2010, global Moran’s I are 0.3045, 0.3725, 0.3388, respectively, indicating that significant positive autocorrelation. MGWR indicates at different time nodes. coefficients NGR have obvious stratification characteristics, with decreasing northeast southwest. high coefficient (0.924∼0.989) GPC mainly distributed region. PD ranges 0.464 0.918, but difference northwest obvious. This study may provide new clues for sustainable development reduction.
