Sugar beet crown (SBC) waste was employed to produce sustainable activated carbon (AC) by a thermo-chemical activation procedure using fixed ratio of H3PO4/SBC (1 : 1 w/w ratio) at 550 °C/2 h. An carbon/polyamide nano-composite (AC/PA) also prepared through the polymerization fabricated AC (90%) with polyamide (PA, 10%) synthetic textile proper dissolving agent specified polymer (formic acid/PA = 82/18%). Both and its derivative AC/PA were in remediation dyes from industrial wastewater column systems, their efficiencies compared various applied experimental conditions. The adsorption dye (IDW) pH-, flow rate-, bed thickness-controlled process regarded adsorbents. Kinetic studies confirmed suitability Thomas equation over Yoon Nelson model predicting dynamic IDW as assured close agreement among calculated uptake capacities both adsorbents same rates, suggesting chemisorption nature adsorption. Additionally, electrostatic attraction leading mechanism composite some advantages former latter.

Municipal sludge is an inevitable byproduct during the treatment of wastewater, which produced by sewage plants in urban residential areas, and it contains pathogens, heavy metals, other pollutants. suitable for application energy utilization because its high organic content relatively low toxic matter. The moisture municipal brings huge difficulties to harmless disposal resource utilization. At present, main method used dehydration mechanical dewatering. However, mud cake this still has a water up 80%, does not meet current rigorous requirements. Therefore, development deep technology imperative. In paper, basic properties structure were summarized. As key component flocs, extracellular polymeric substance (EPS) received much attention dewatering conditioning. Meanwhile, influencing factors also fully elaborated, including types, hardness, surface charge, size distribution, viscosity. And methods comprehensively included, namely, physical method, chemical biological combined conditioning methods. advantages disadvantages each are mentioned, their situations analyzed. Furthermore, comment was provided on mechanism, adaptability, prospects, limitations techniques improving This systematic review related can only provide reference information but benefit exploitation efficient ecofriendly technology.

Sludge dewatering plays a critical role in the efficient and cost-effective management of wastewater treatment plants. Ultrasonic has emerged as promising technique for improving processes. This study aims to evaluate impact ultrasonic on sludge characteristics. A series experiments were conducted characteristics under treatment. Experimental data was collected, effects parameters efficiency analyzed. Ultrasound capacity disintegrate flocs, liberate tightly bound water, enhance capabilities. The application ultrasound leads breakdown which facilitates substantial amount organic acids or carbonates. This, turn, modifies pH value sludge. Additionally, induces instantaneous high temperature pressure within liquid phase, consequently elevating slurry. Optimum energy density duration exist. For samples analyzed this investigation, it determined that optimal is 9.8 W, while 30 s. Excessively escalating sound prolonging may yield unfavorable outcomes terms effectiveness. To dewatering, crucial select appropriate demonstrates positive findings provide valuable insights into potential technology enhancing dewatering.
