As a safe alternative to hazardous agrochemicals, food waste compost could prevent human health hazards and environmental degradation. Food composting has not garnered much popularity among farmers given their sole dependence on synthetic fertilizers for high yields commercial returns. Hence, this study aimed identify the factors influencing farmers' adoption of regular use. Empirical data were collected from 399 residing in different second-tier cities China through face-to-face interviews using structured questionnaire. The partial least squares-structural equation modelling was used statistically examine models construct correlations. Based outcomes, perceived usefulness compost, awareness consequences, social influence, anticipated guilt, attitude towards substantially impacted intention.
