<p>With global economic transformation and environmental sustainability increasingly taking center stage, the role of digital economy (DE) becomes particularly critical in corporate green technology innovation (GTI). Based on data Chinese A-share listed companies Shanghai Shenzhen from 2011 to 2020, this paper explores interactive effects DE GTI mechanism resources (DR) them, as well conducts in-depth analyses for different regional city characteristics. The main findings are follows: First, significantly promotes process GTI. Second, perspective differences, promotion effect is prominent eastern central regions. And analyzed level, its positive most significant second-tier cities but shows a negative fourth fifth-tier cities. Further examined resource dependence, inhibits resource-based while showing facilitating non-resource-based Third, can further promote by enhancing firms’ DR. Fourth, study reveals threshold DR relationship: when <em>DR</em> &lt; 2.5649, <em>DE</em> presents an inhibitory technological innovation, promotional begins appear 2.5649 ≤ 4.2767, more obvious ≥ 4.2767.</p>

Big data technology may improve the quality of environmental information disclosure and address challenge asymmetry. This study adopts a difference-in-differences strategy to investigate effectiveness big data-based system launched by Chinese Ministry Environmental Protection in 2013. The results reveal that, significantly stimulates green innovation hard-to-abate enterprises with an entrepreneurial orientation. A mechanism exploration suggests that drives officials implement policies aimed at raises public concern regarding quality; however, attention is found be ineffective stimulating corporate sample period. identifies useful channel for policymakers develop enhancing current disclosure.
