Soil fungi are closely tied to their surrounding environment. While numerous studies have reported the effects of land-use practices or elevations on soil fungi, our understanding how community structure and diversity vary with elevation across different remains limited. In present study, by collecting samples from four land uses in Gaoligong Mountain area, namely shrublands (SLs), coffee plantations (CPs), cornfields (CFs), citrus orchards (COs), combining them changes altitude gradients (low: 900 m, medium: 1200 high: 1500 m), high-throughput sequencing technology was used analyze composition fungal communities based collected samples. The results showed that interaction between types significantly influenced communities, although relative importance shaping varied. Specifically, posed a stronger effect alpha-diversity functional guilds, whereas had greater influence over composition. Our study reveals individual combined region, enhancing distribution patterns driving mechanisms this biodiversity-rich region.

Years of employing the “one-shot” fertilization practice have led to low nutrient utilization efficiency and degradation soil structure in black region during crop cultivation. Replacing a portion chemical fertilizers with microbial agents can effectively solve these issues. In this study, we conducted field plot experiment comparing eight different treatment combinations investigate effects combining varying amounts on nutrients, ecology, maize yield. The high-throughput absolute quantification 16S rRNA sequencing method was utilized further effect various treatments bacterial community elucidate interactions between environmental factors communities. results showed that MC80 increased yield by 5.76% compared RC, an input–output ratio 1:1.58. Additionally, levels were higher than those increasing efficiency, activating enhancing fertility. Meanwhile, data bacteria also indicated highest abundance diversity samples. Among these, Acidobacteria main contributor changes community, showing significant enrichment MC80. ABSTRACT Biological diversity in mountain ecosystems has been increasingly studied over the last decade. This is also case for soils, but no study to date provided an overall synthesis of current state knowledge. Here we fill this gap with a first global analysis published research on cryptogams, microorganisms, and fauna soils above treeline, structured Based corpus almost 1400 publications expertise 37 soil scientists worldwide, summarise what known about distribution patterns each these organismal groups, specifically along elevation, provide overview available knowledge drivers explaining their changes. In particular, document elevation‐dependent decrease faunal while cryptogams there initial increase followed by towards nival belt. Thus, our data confirm key role that elevation plays shaping biodiversity organisms soils. The response prokaryote turn, was more diverse, whereas fungal appeared be substantially influenced plants.
