In addition to creating economic value, crops also serve important ecological functions. Especially their carbon sink function, which plays a key role in mitigating climate change. this study, the LMDI and Tapio model were innovatively combined quantitatively evaluate emissions sinks Yellow River basin (YRB). It shows that average annual growth rate of YRB was −0.1344% during 2002–2020. Carbon show negative trend due transformation upgrading agriculture from traditional modern implementation policies related China’s agricultural benefits. Agricultural production efficiency is major factor inhibiting emissions, reducing by an approximately 8.07 million tons per year. High-carbon emission high-sink areas are mainly concentrated southeast YRB, where livestock poultry farming principal source with rice, wheat, corn being contributors sink. Moreover, there significant differences capacity YRB. Optimizing crop selection area distribution can enhance different regions, contributing more effective control. This study combines sequestration crops, providing data support theoretical basis for policy formulation planning low-carbon China. great significance promoting sustainable development

As efforts to mitigate climate change become increasingly urgent, the need address environmental impact of built environment has gained significant attention. Buildings, as major contributors Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, have a substantial embodied and operational carbon footprint resulting from their construction materials, practices, lifetime operation. This paper examines economic landscape strategies policies aimed at reducing buildings on global scale, with specific case studies various national contexts. It delves into innovative approaches, including analysis techniques, market instruments, demands, role government incentives reduce buildings. The study highlights crucial policies, financial incentives, forces in promoting sustainable practices fostering adoption low-carbon alternatives. By shedding light dimensions buildings, this research aims facilitate informed decision-making by policymakers, engineers, other stakeholders, ultimately contributing more climate-resilient environment.

While the core objective of Paris Agreement is to limit increase in global average temperature (GAT) 2 °C 21st century and work towards limiting it 1.5 °C, globalization configuration production processes around value chains (GVCs) have emerged as key factors explaining recent evolution environmental economic indicators. In this context, paper takes trade-implied carbon emissions entry point problem, uses MRIO calculate production-side consumption-side emissions, measures forward backward lengths GVCs according WWYZ method, then constructs an econometric regression model empirically analyze effects GVC embeddedness. The results study show that, firstly, length positively correlated with emissions. Forward has a greater impact on side, consumption side. Secondly, compared developed countries, more pronounced positive developing countries. Thirdly, chain continues extend, scale effect, structural technological regulation effect will all contribute Accordingly, countries or regions should continuously optimize layout reduce chain, realize lean manufacturing through automation intelligence, move up play role emission reduction upgrading, progress, regulation.
