With the increasing environmental impacts of human activities, problem polygenic multipollutants in groundwater has attracted attention researchers. Identifying hydrobiogeochemical characteristics surface sewage that replenishes is crucial to addressing this problem. The input into leads not only mechanical superposition pollutants but also formation secondary pollutant types. evolution influenced by aquifer characteristics, carbon sources, microbial abundance, etc. Therefore, study took a leakage point Northwest China as research object, carried out controlled laboratory experiment on impact discharge groundwater, and, combined with long-term field monitoring results, determined main processes and their pollutants. results showed redox environment gradient change pH were identified most critical controlling factors. In oxidative during early stage vertical infiltration, carries substantial amount NH4+, which oxidized form NO3−. As O2 consumed, reduction intensifies, NO3−, Mn (IV), Fe(III) minerals are successively reduced. Compared natural conditions rainwater reaction rates intensities various reactions significantly increase infiltration. However, there notable difference between NO3− reduction, large CO2 rapidly generated. Excessive dissolves produce H+, promoting acidic dissolution (II) generation Mn2+. Sewage provides higher load, enhancing stimulating activity dissimilatory nitrate ammonium, exhibits contribution reduction. This portion converted from NH4+ being reduced back retained reducing denitrification’s capacity remove important implications for pollution management remediation, particularly monitored attenuation.
