The biodrying process is a well-established method in solid waste management for reducing the moisture content of municipal (MSW), facilitating its mechanical treatment, enhancing energy recovery efficiency, and simplifying disposal. However, challenges such as variability drying seasonal fluctuations, operational inconsistencies limit optimization broader applicability. This study undertakes detailed evaluation operations using Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to improve stability identify key factors influencing efficiency. Data collected over one-year period from facility employing Herhoff Rotteboxes® reveal an average efficiency 28%, with notable trends showing reduced during summer fall. A regression model analyzing load, parameters, effects accounted 25% suggesting additional like composition microbial activity significantly impact process. highlights value SPC tools monitoring demonstrates how targeted strategies—such adjustments refined loading practices—can enhance outcomes. By addressing gaps current practices, these findings contribute advancement technologies support development more efficient sustainable systems handling waste.
