This study investigates land use and cover changes in the Teiči Strict Nature Reserve, Latvia, from 1982 to 2023 models potential future based on four legislative scenarios extending 2064. The research aims assess effectiveness of existing conservation zoning relation historical projected cover, addressing ongoing debate between fixed adaptable strategies. employs remote sensing imagery, geographical information system data, modeling methods analyze predict trends. results suggest substantial over past decades, including intensified urbanization, agricultural expansion, a decline peat bogs forested areas. Scenario projections indicate that continued could further challenge efficiency current strategies, with varying outcomes depending measures climate change impacts. concludes adaptive management variable are necessary address these dynamic preserve reserve’s ecological integrity. emphasize importance integrating predictive into planning improve flexibility sustainability protected

The ecological research of regional land use and cover change (LULCC) under the Shared Socioeconomic Pathway (SSP) Representative Concentration (RCP) scenarios proposed by IPCC has become a prominent topic. This study investigates spatial distribution risks associated with changes in arid semi-arid regions Xinjiang future SSP-RCP scenarios. In this paper, LUCC data, climate soil topographic data different 2100 were adopted to construct use/land quality index (LQI), (CQI), (SQI) respectively. Using as case study, an integrated risk model was constructed through LQI, CQI SQI. By 2100, LQI areas will dominate, accounting for approximately 70% total area. Central Xinjiang, home largest desert China—the Taklimakan Desert—predominantly consists Gobi, where is generally better SSP-RCP126 scenario compared other high are primarily concentrated mountainous, Xinjiang. SQI remains consistent across 2100. Under SSP-RCP245 scenarios, global warming effectively mitigated, leading relatively favorable overall However, SSP-RCP370 SSP-RCP585 moderate, high, extremely expand, covering 50%

Human activities have caused different degrees of land-use change on topographic gradients, with impacts the landscape and ecosystem. Effectively preventing addressing ecological risk (ER) achieving harmonious coexistence between humans nature are important aspects sustainable development. In this study, we used Gansu Province as an example, adopted five periods data in 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 2020, geoinformatic Tupu method terrain distribution index to study changes under then constructed assessment (LERA) model based pattern analyze (LER) spatiotemporal finally explored LER driving factors using geodetector model. The results showed that (1) dominant types were unused land grassland, accounting for approximately 74% land. situation transferring changing each type was more drastic. cropland built-up easily found low gradient areas elevations small slopes; woodland, grassland water high large slopes. (2) (LERI) 0.018, 0.019, 0.019 0.020, respectively, spatial expressions northwest southeast. Low concentrated reserves; human interference natural environmental complex areas. (3) Natural mainly acted moderate position gradients; socioeconomic gradients. interacted than alone LER. This can provide a scientific basis ensuring security development topography geomorphology.

Nanling Mountain region is a typical southern hilly region, which plays an important ecological and environmental protection role in China’s overall land pattern. Based on the remote sensing image data of Longnan City 2013, 2018 2023, this paper interpreted use type analyzed transfer situation by using flow, matrix. At same time, based index (RSEI) model, quality from 2013 to 2023 was retrieved. The temporal spatial response model discussed autocorrelation geographical detector. results show that decrease forest (16.23 km2) increase construction (13.25 were main transfers City. environment indexes 0.789, 0.917 0.872, respectively, showing trend “first rising then decreasing”. north significantly lower than south, poor area appeared around northern urban area, “inward contraction”. Forest land, garden grassland, cultivated water have positive impact quality, while traffic other negative quality. different modes related change interaction between cover (LUCC) factors had great evolution
