ABSTRACT To support national estimates of methane (CH 4 ) emissions from manure management systems, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) proposed guidelines that include three tiers, which Tier 1 and 2 methodologies are most used. The choice each methodology is often driven by data availability. application IPCC approach uses default emission factors requires less compared to 2, considered a more advanced methodology.
