Rearing broiler chickens generates large quantities of waste material in the form bedding. Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a technology that can be applied to this waste. This study aimed evaluate AD litter, either screened (S) or unscreened (US), from different flocks, collected each production batch, totaling nine, commercial farm. was conducted batch biodigesters, and fraction separation performed through screening prior loading. The S substrate second fifth flocks did not produce biogas. Reductions total (TS) volatile solids were highest for substrates third flock (50.5% 58.3%, respectively). Only flock’s showed greater reductions than US substrates. Potential biogas methane also bedding both (336.8 218.2 L/kg TS, respectively) (296.8 213.4 concentration (64.8%), while substrate, it fourth (70.3%). Screening litter reduced process efficiency. We conclude inadvisable litter.
