Due to water scarcity in the Yellow River basin, existing operations for Longyangxia and Liujiashan cascade reservoirs are insufficient meet demands of multiple objectives. This study establishes a coupled coordination model considering hydropower generation, supply, storage capacity at different periods during year. At same time, quantifies impact scheduling strategies on objectives determines optimal operation periods. The results indicate that strategy reservoir dominates changes capacity. Specifically, ice flood control period, scenario continuous release from Liujiaxia achieves 1.26 billion kWh with supply shortage rate 8.67%; During non-flood releasing April May storing it June while continuously releases 4.68 generation 1.61%. controlling level within limits, September October, 5.65 0%.
