Introduction Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) is an innovative way to treat tumors by activating sonosensitizers via ultrasound (US). The development of with high sonodynamic activity the key promote clinical application SDT. Methods In this study, a novel sonosensitizer, La 2 (WO 4 ) 3 /CuWO composite LC-10, was prepared two-step hydrothermal method and characterized. addition, antitumor LC-10 investigated using u251 glioma cells as model. Results Discussion results showed that compared CuWO , had better activity, good biosafety at concentrations below 50 μg/mL. After formed composite, recombination electron-hole ( e − – h + pairs were effectively inhibited, more strongly oxidizing ROS produced, inducing apoptosis cells. which, singlet oxygen 1 O hydroxyl radical (·OH), especially production ⋅OH, played important role in mediated SDT process. study would offer foundation for design base nano-sonosensitizers its further antitumor. it also provided new strategy excellent activity.

Heterojunction creation is demonstrated as an effective strategy to enhance the transfer and separation of charge carriers, which beneficial for subsequent photocatalytic reactions. In this study, “sea urchin-like” W18O49 was in situ-grown on surface Bi12GeO20 through a hydrothermal process, released Cl− anions tended produce BiOCl simultaneously. Systematical characterizations confirmed construction ternary composites Bi12GeO20/BiOCl/W18O49 (GBW), Type I Z-scheme models were integrated promote carrier migration by combining structural merits both models. Under UV–visible light, catalytic performance as-synthesized samples tested terms NO oxidation removal. Compared pure Bi12GeO20, composite GBW5 showed highest removal efficiency 42%, nearly four times that Bi12GeO20. These improvements mainly due enhanced light absorption, suitable morphological features, boosted generation reactive species GBW series. This study paves way Bi12GeO20-based using comprehensive utilization waste method employment low concentrations at ppb level.
