Urban green spaces play a critical role in sustaining the urban park biodiversity. The relationship between biodiversity and city residents is complex. Understanding cognitive preferences of toward vital for effective conservation. This study investigated public willingness to protect parks using questionnaire-based assessments explored underlying drivers. focused on Hangzhou, China, analyzed effects respondent visit characteristics as well their interactions ANOVA, PERMANOVA, GLM, NMDS. visitor age, education level, satisfaction with plant landscapes, frequency significantly influenced conserve. Based “cognitive-experience-investment” framework, we uncovered (1) positive synergistic abundance space fauna; (2) threshold constraints linking volunteer time conservation economic expenditures biodiversity-friendly products; (3) complex among these factors. findings not only elucidate driving mechanisms model optimization pathways associated conserving but also provide actionable strategies promote both ecological societal wellbeing.
