Polysaccharides from L. fructus (LFPs) serve as important active biomacromolecules for the wide spectrum of bioactivities exhibited by Lycii fructus. However, influence ecological environments on biosynthesis and structural characteristics LFPs remains largely unexplored. The present research conducted a comprehensive strategy combining physicochemical elucidation, stoichiometric analysis, transcriptomic profiling, proteomic analysis in samples collected typical cultivation regions including Ningxia, Xinjiang, Qinghai. results revealed distinct variations Ningxia compared to those other terms Glc, Ara, GalA composition percentages well overall content. omics data identified 5531 8084 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), 3728 4732 proteins (DEPs) Xinjiang Qinghai respectively. integration analyses enrichment DEGs DEPs involved pathway LFPs, UDPs, AXS, UGDH. Temperature precipitation were significant factors affecting biosynthesis. These provide novel perspective explaining material basis environmental response mechanism underlying quality formation
