Background: The seed of Irvingia gabonensis is recognized for its potential bioactivity and medicinal benefits, yet cytotoxicity chemical composition have not been fully investigated. Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the ethanol extract ethyl acetate fraction using brine shrimp as a model organism. Methods: was prepared through maceration Soxhlet extractor, followed by derivation fraction. both extracts were assessed lethality assay, with lethal concentration 50% (LC50) values calculated gauge cytotoxicity. tested against determine their LC50 cell viability also evaluated. Cyclophosphamide served reference compound comparative purposes. Results: Both derivative showed moderate shrimp, 93.22 ± 0.03 μg/mL 190.80 μg/mL, respectively. Importantly, exhibited higher compared fraction, derivatives being comparable that cyclophosphamide. Conclusions: These findings indicate demonstrates considerable underscoring sources bioactive compounds therapeutic use.
